Configuring a NFS repository on a Quest DR series storage appliance (4035879)

The following are steps to configure a NFS repository on a Quest DR series storage appliance.

This will require a Linux machine to complete.

• On the DR appliance create a new NFS/CIFS container or use an existing NFS/CIFS container.
  • Make note of the NFS access path. The path will be used in the export directory field in vRanger.
  • Set the remaining NFS options.
• From a Linux machine, mount the NFS container.
  • Create the mount point.
    

    mkdir /mnt/mountpoint

  • Mount the NFS container. Ex

    mount DR4000Name_OR_IP:/containers/TestNFS /mnt/mountpoint

  • Create a new directory within the mount
    

    mkdir /mnt/mountpoint/TargetDirectory

• Add the NFS container to vRanger's configuration.
  • Use the NFS Access path for the export directory
  • Use the newly created directory as the target directory
