User status goes to "Initializing" when a migration is started.
The Notes Client on the migration workstation has been installed, but not configured. The Notes client has been installed on the migration workstation but was never launched to fully connect to the Domino server and finish the Notes client setup.
Have your Domino administrator complete the Lotus Notes configuration and verify that the Notes client installation type is Single User.
Once complete, confirm Outlook is the default mail program.
Reset the user
Start the user migration.
For versions prior to 5.1:
Also this can happen if the setting for Encrypted Items Migration is set to “Migrated into a Notes database as an attachment”, but the NTF file specified is not located in the worker directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Binary Tree\CMT for Exchange\Worker.
Adding this NTF file to each worker Data directory or Worker directory will resolve the issue. This NTF is located on the Migration Controller in the Notes Data Directory.
You will also see the error below in the smaller migration log file:
! Error: Template for Encrypted Attachment not found: C:\Program Files (x86)\Binary Tree\CMT for Exchange\Worker\EncryptedContent.ntf
! Error: Unable to initialize source platform .
If the migration status changes to Failed to Initialize – Incorrect/Incompatible configuration settings, missing configuration or reference files, failure to connect to source or destination servers, and so on. No data is migrated.
