How to set up an ODBC data source and reverse engineer a database using it?

Solution:

Please see the attached Word document at the bottom.  Also, note that some databases in erwin DM are supported natively, which means that it will need Client Connectivity Software which also installs the appropriate ODBC driver which can then also be configured to connect to the database.  Those databases are as follows:

• Oracle
• SQL Server
• Sybase
• DB2 (z/OS and LUW)

Other than that the document attached can be a good guide to set up a n ODBC Data Source.
