If the upgrade has not yet started, follow the below steps to preserve the Published Reports node during the upgrade process:
1. Backup the Enterprise Reporter SQL database
2. Start the installation for ER 2.5
3. When getting to the point to upgrade the ER database (at the end of the installation), do the following:
If the product has been upgraded to version 2.5 already and the Published Reports node is removed then follow the below steps.
*Note* This will not populate the Published Reports node with the previous reports, they have been permanently deleted. However, they can be republished if they still exist in the My Reports node of the Admin who published the reports originally, or if there is a backup of the database please call Support at 1-800-306-9329 and we will assist you in exporting the old Published Reports.
1. Open SQL Management Studio
2. Right click on the Enterprise Reporter database (by default dbReporter) and click New Query
3. Paste the below query in and then click Execute:

INSERT [dbo].[ReportCategory] ([ReportCategoryId], [ParentID], [localizedDisplayName], [OwnerId]) VALUES (N'bfc69400-cb01-4706-b11f-9f0800f66d91', NULL, N'3d3169a2-673c-4239-bf0d-9f0800f66d91', N'9e0c7d0c-3305-400e-bcea-9f0800f66d95')
INSERT [dbo].[Phrases] ([LocalizedStringID], [Value], [LCID]) VALUES (N'3d3169a2-673c-4239-bf0d-9f0800f66d91', N'Published Reports', 1033)
Please note: If you have a Enterprise Reporter version prior to 3.0, any folder/registry paths referenced may contain the non-Quest branded path instead of ‘Quest'
