Receiving Error While Configuring the Network for the First Time on the DR. The DR has both 10 and 1 GB cards.The errors are as follows:
Bringing up interface bond0: Determining IP information IP information for bond0... failed: no link present. Check cable? [FAILED]Warning: A Failure occurred while trying to set IP address.or Found inconsistencies with the DNS config -
Cause
The customer had the cable plugged into one of the 1 GB ports only not the 10 Gb port as well.
Issue is that bond0 was bonded to the 10gbps ports by default, it'll make bond0 all the10gbps interfaces
if there is 10 GB and 1GB card the DR will automatically bond on the 10G card by default
So the DR won't recognize 1 GB link as it will expect the 10 GB port to be cabled, if the 1 gb network is the only cableIn this case, the bond speed needs to be set 1 GB instead of 10 GB -
Resolution
To reset the bonding speed to 1G run the following commandnetwork --factory_reset --auto_bonding_speed 1G
Then reboot the system if it prompts for it, system --reboot
or if it prompts to restart the network
network --restart
