Erwin Evolve is a web-based social communication platform that sits on top of the Evolve Suite and enables teams across the enterprise to share data, collaborate, and communicate. Evolve Web Platform uses the social media behavior employees understand to help the company collect the expertise and experience of individuals and teams throughout the organization.
Patch Notes:
Following release it was identified that several environments were unable to use:
* SAML2 authentication
* Sanitizer to remove script when saving objects
This was due a component incompatibility.
This patch includes updated versions of the required components and a web.config change to use them.
To install:
1. Install Evolve Web Platform 2022.0.1 Build 520
2. Unzip the patch to a temporary location to extract the files
3. Locate the 'bin' folder in your install location. (Note the folder structure of the zip mirrors that of the installation)
4. Take a copy of the following files, and put them in a safe place (in case they are needed in future)
AngleSharp.Css.dll
AngleSharp.dll
System.Collections.Immutable.dll [may not be there - if not, ignore]
System.Text.Encoding.CodePages.dll [may not be there - if not, ignore]
5. Copy the files from the patch zip, over the existing files (accept overwrite requests)
6. Go up one folder to the 'Site' folder
7. Take a copy of the following files, and put them in a safe place (in case they are needed in future)
web.config
8. Replace the web.config with the one from this patch.
[WARNING: this will reset the Evolve system configuration back to default - you will need to re-apply your settings. It may be useful to refer to your backup web.config file for these details]
The patch is complete.
