The Foglight Management Server (FMS) code line for 5.9.x introduced a number of security related changes that introduce special considerations for upgrades from Foglight 5.7.x Versions. These include specific version dependencies among FMS and Foglight cartridges, and also new configuration options for HA and Federation installations. Please refer to the solution SOL259746 in our Knowledge Base for highlights, and ensure that you closely review release notes and upgrade guides.

A full Foglight installation requires a Foglight Management Server, the agent management software, plus one or more cartridges for monitoring different domains.
