What New in SQL Optimizer for Oracle 9.2
- Time-based Optimization: In SQL Rewrite, jobs can now be stopped and restarted allowing users the flexibility to deal with long running optimization tasks without losing their work. Users can also increase the intelligence level of a job and continue the optimization process without recreating the entire job.
- Session-based Optimization Settings - Intelligence Level and other optimization settings can now be set on a per session level instead of just globally. This allows users the flexibility to customize the Intelligence Level for their specific task without affecting other sessions.
