Cartridge for Infrastructure Management
What’s new in this version
This release contains the following Foglight for Infrastructure new features and improvements:
Rules and metrics:
The Zombie Process rule is added in this release. This rule monitors the count of obsolete processes and generates alarms when predefined thresholds are reached. (IC-2894)
HostAgents now collect the NIC collision rates and error percentages. (IC-2893)
The UnixAgent and Windows agents now collect TCP connection metrics. For complete information about these metrics, see the Foglight for Infrastructure User and Reference Guide. (IC-2885, IC-2886)
The ProcessAvailability rule can now identify a process using a substring from the command line. (IC-2264)
The alarm message associated with the CPU Utilization rule has been improved to better communicate the nature of the problem. (IC-2185)
A prerequisite check is added to the Add Monitored Host wizard to verify if the agent can establish a connection to the monitored host. If this option is selected, the wizard can check if the WMI/SSH connection timed out, whether the credentials are configured or valid, the host is up and running, and so on. For complete information about this wizard, see the Foglight for Infrastructure User and Reference Guide. (IC-2879)
Foglight Log Monitor
This release of Foglight Log Monitor does not include any new features. It is made to accompany the 220.127.116.11 release of Foglight for Infrastructure.
The Host with log records filter on the Log Monitor dashboard now allows you search for a specific host name. In larger environments, typing a host name can quickly retrieve one or more related hosts, instead of trying to find them by scrolling through a long list. (IC-2880)
Foglight for PowerVM
This release of Foglight for PowerVM does not include any new features. It is made to accompany the 18.104.22.168 release of Foglight for Infrastructure.
