What’s new in this version
This release contains the following Foglight for Infrastructure new features and improvements:
Host availability alerting - Foglight for Infrastructure 22.214.171.124 has changed the way it alerts users about host availability. It is now able to identify and report the following three states for a monitored host: MONITORED, UNMONITORED, and UNAVAILABLE. A new property, "Use ping to validate host availability" was added to UnixAgent, WindowsAgent, DellUnixAgent, MultiHostProcessMonitorAgent agents to support this new feature. UnixAgent and DellUnixAgent - Added two new agent properties, "Filter local disks based on declared filesystem types" and "Filesystem Exclusion Config".
Added the ability to exclude SECFS , SECFS2 , and Vormetric® filesystems.
Rules and metrics:
Added new rule to trigger on Host Monitored state changes.
The "SYSADMIN" parameter used in E-mail address for global system administrator is available for the "Available Paging Space" and "Disk Queue Length" rules.
Updated description of the following metrics: "LogicalDisk.spaceUsed", "LogicalDisk.spaceAvailable", "LogicalDisk.totalSpace", "LogicalDisk.percentInodesRemaining", "LogicalDisk.capacityUsed", and "LogicalDisk.capacityAvailable".
Added ability to collect the following metrics that indicate disk performance: "Average Disk sec/Read", "Average Disk sec/Write", and "Average Disk sec/Transfer".
Enhanced the "File System Capacity" rule.
Added each type of device and modified the "queueLength" property for both "LogicalDisk" and "PhysicalDisk".
Added rule to alert on low "availablePagingSpace".
Added the Monitored Processes table in the Infrastructure Environment > Processes dashboard, to display "User Defined Processes".
Added auto-scrollbar to the Infrastructure Environment > Processes dashboard.
Added the Hostname to the Infrastructure Environment > Processes in dashboard.
Added the ability to show more than 5 top CPU, Memory, and IO processes.
