DSP : Domino to AD - Splitting profiles (1 for users, 1 for groups) (4324874)

In Lotus Domino, we have 2 directories :

Profile 1 for groups and some users (we just want to update) those users)

Profile 2 for regional users (we want to create or update these users in AD)

Some members of Directory 1 groups are in fact users of Directory 2

We are at a stage where all Domino users (profile 1 and 2) are sync'd with AD and have target ObjectGuid set in SQL Server. I want the groups to sync and fill the members attribute with all users from profile 1 and 2.

My understanding is Smart Dirsync, when syncing groups out of Directory 1, will search for users in the whole SQL DB, regardless of profiles and will indeed correctly set the members (whichever profile controls the users).

Am I correct or will Profile 1 only fill members attributes based on profile 1 managed users, skipping profile 2 users ?

1. Domino to SQL group sync require the List members are in the same Domino directory as the groups
2. When syncing groups using a "group sync only profile", DSP will create groups and members in the bt_groups table (no modifying the bt_person table)
3. If we need to have different process per user categories (for example 2 categories) then we need 3 Domino directories and 3 profiles :

• Names1 : contains all groups and users, Profile1 : sync groups only
• Names2 : contains users to create/update, Profile2 : sync users only
• Names3 : contains users to update/mail enable only, Profile3 : sync users only
