If there has been an environmental issue such as a network issue or a systems restart then the Dirsync server profiles status may be set as Syncing but it is not Syncing.
If the job is cancelled then the status may update to Cancelling but will stay in Cancelling.
If the Directory Sync Service is running correctly then the issue is most probably the Domino Plugin. This plugin will need to be reloaded to create a new session to the SQL server.
The recommend action is to restart the Domino server. A full Windows server restart is not required.
To restart the Domino server issue the following command:
Tell Domino Restart
If a full Domino server restart is not possible due to SLA's and change control then the next best option is to restart the Domino plugin using the Following commands:
Tell BTDirsync quit
When complete issue the following command:
Load BTDirsync
Carefully monitor the console for any issues while initialising.
This should fix the issue and the status should return to ready. A restart of the Dirsync Service may be required.
