When I enable or checkmark "Use read-only queries" in the Toad Options, then go to Schema Browser, then use "View / Edit Query" icon or button to edit the query to include "rowid,", and then apply a Filter or a Sort, Toad hangs or freezes or locks up.
Steps to duplicate the problem:
1) Go to Toad Options | Data Grids | Data | check "Use read-only queries" | click Apply then OK
2) Go to Schema Browser | Tables Tab | highlight a table name | click on Data Tab on right hand side
3) Click on "View / Edit Query" icon
4) Type "rowid," right after SELECT i.e. "SELECT rowid," | then click OK
5) Click the "Filter / Sort" icon | and add or remove an order -OR- add or remove a filter
6) Click OK in step 5 above
7) TOAD will lock up or freeze or hang
