The syslog-ng service is failing to start with the following message:

syslog-ng failed to restart with the following message - Active: failed (Result: core-dump)

Local logs show:

Product Defect: SYSLOGDEV-5806

Caused by a conflict of the persist file resource entry allocation size, and the size of the sub auth entry that is stored in the persist file.

Product Defect ID SYSLOGDEV-5806 has been resolved in version 7.0.24 of Syslog-ng PE.
