Symptoms:
Local or Push installation of Netvault Client on a Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2 completes succesfully but the following situation is present on Netvault Configurator:
-Machine tab displays Machine Name field with: <Put-the-local-machine-name-here>
-Service tab will display the service status as: Unknown
-General tab display the following paths:
Database Directory: /usr/nv6/db
Log Directory: /usr/nv6/logs
Temporary Directory: /usr/nv6/tmp
Reports Directory: /usr/nv6/reports
Statistics Directory: /usr/nv6/stats
-Attempting to uninstall Netvault or the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005/2008/2010 Redistributable from Control Panel will return error for:
"Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance"
Also during the installation, the Netvault installer will complain that the installation folder selected is not empty, even if the folder does not exist regardless of the disk volume.
On the installation folder used by Netvault you will notice several missing files.
