MongoDB agent reports frequent changes in node role (mongoType) between mongod and configsvr.

• Multiple agents are connected to different parts of the same sharded cluster.
• Agents with limited visibility see config servers as regular mongod nodes.
• Only agents connected via mongos can correctly identify node roles.

1. Use a Single Agent:

   • Create the agent using the agent creation wizard.
   • Point it to a mongos query router (e.g., mongos-host:27017). In your environment, it should be replaced with the actual hostname or IP address of a mongos query router in your MongoDB sharded cluster.
   • This enables automatic discovery of all cluster components.

2. Remove Redundant Agents:

   • Deactivate agents connected directly to individual nodes.

3. Restart the Agent:

   • After setup, restart the agent to refresh topology data.

4. Verify Permissions:

   • Ensure the monitoring user has access to all cluster metadata.
