Dirsync: Error while adding Group membership in DirSync Workflow - "Error in attribute conversion operation, data 0, v3839" (4321091)

We receive the following error while adding a group member in DirSync for group "<Security Group Name>"

Write: Directory Operation Error (ConstraintViolation): 00000057: LdapErr: DSID-0C090F95, comment: Error in attribute conversion operation, data 0, v3839
LDAP Modify <Value>
Server: <ServerNameValue> (<IP ADDRESS>) User: admin@domain.com
    member (Add)

This is a known defect where the root OU cannot be selected in the workflow, 'Stage Data' section,  the sub OUs must be selected.

Workaround

• Open your Workflow
• Click on the 'Sync workflow' tab
• Under the 'Stage Data' section, click the 'Select' button
• Click Next | Next | Next | Next till you reach the 'Select your default OU for newly created objects' window
• Click "Select OU' for the object you need to update (Users/Groups) 
  • You will see you only have the Root OU selected for Users and Groups
• Click 'Select OU' for each, and click the sub OUs for this environment
• When updated, click Next then Finish buttons
  
  

Next Step From 'Environments'

• Select the Environment, and click the 'Settings' button
• From the 'General' tab
• Run a reconciliation on the both source and target environments (Need to go into Settings and enable Reconcile on the next read, if not already configured)
• Click the 'Save' button
• Go back to the Environments dashboard
• Select the Environment
• Run Discover for each source and target environment within the Dirsync environment
• Run the workflow and this issue should be resolved.
