What are the Java Heap sizes assigned in the Foglight installer for Foglight Management Server (FMS) JVM heap?
Lösung
The radio button choices correspond to the following Java Memory Heap sizes
- Allow Foglight to manage it's memory consumption: this is a dynamic sizing determined at the FMS launch using the following defaults
min heap max heap
32-bit
-Xms{same as Xmx}m
-Xmx{75% of total memory < 1024}m
64-bit
-Xms{same as Xmx}m
-Xmx{75% of total memory < 4096}m
- Small environment (1-100 monitored instances): 4096mb
- Medium environment (100-200 monitored instances): 6144mb
- Large environment (200-800 monitored instances): 14336mb
STATUS
Enhancement Request FGLCM-83 has been logged to remove the option to allow Foglight to manage its memory consumption. This is being considered for a future release of the Foglight for Databases installer.
