NetVault Smartdisk install fails with an error in the postinstall.sh, "Failed to create parent directory..."
When installing NetVault smartdisk and using local, but non-default paths for the stage and store directories, the install may fail if the directories do not exist before the installation.
Create the Directory structure for your stage and storage locations before starting the NVSD installation.
