Backup and restore can be managed from within the management console of KDA (KACE Desktop Authority) versions 8.x and earlier. However, the backup and restore operations cannot be performed in the web console of KDA 9.X and up. There is a setup tool application included with KDA 9.x and up which can be used to perform various maintenance operations such as backup and restore.
On the KDA server, click on the Start Menu and then navigate to All Programs | Quest | Desktop Authority Manager | Desktop Authority Setup Tool. After the tool loads, click on the DB Configuration tab and click the Connect button to get connected to the database, then click on the “DB Tasks” tab and perform the desired operation for each database.
Note: SQL Management Studio may also be used to perform a backup or restore of the KDA databases.
