QUESTION:
Customer is currently configuring db2 agents for DBS and have 3 different instances with the same ID and password on one host.
From the db2 guide, it only explains how to use different connection parameters for the same instance name with a unique login for each instance. The .profile for the foglight ID can only set to one DB instance at one time.
Is there a way the agents can support on different multiple instance in the same host?
ANSWER:
Yes,
If these 3 instances are with same version of db2.then you would set one db2 monitor with 3 lines for each instance.
If these 3 instances are different versions set db2 monitor to each one and discover the agents.
If the user is SYSADM on all the instances it’s ok.
