WMI issues such as the following are being experienced when collecting Operating System data from Windows servers:
Microsoft has some bugs and fixes accordingly regarding WMI in Windows 2008.
Those bugs might be reflected in the database cartridge agent when configured, during the OS validation and collection.
Run perfmon /wmi on the Monitored Host
By using the same OS credentials as in the Agent, run perfmon /wmi on the Monitored host.
If this command works, the Agent OS should work as well.
Install Microsoft known patches for WMI
Please install the following patches from Microsoft, so WMI on Windows 2008 will work smoothly.
This will also ensure that the OS Collection aspects are met when the Agent is configured.

WMI counters are missing from Windows 2008
In SQL Server 2008 the perfmon counters will not show under WMI as they do not exist. To have them installed a customer should apply:
