VMware Agent package deployment fails due to insufficient memory on the Agent Manager (FglAM) server due to insufficient memory.
Below message is logged in Agent Manager log:
Failed to build an AgentPackage from /foglight/agentmanager/agents/VMwarePerformance/5.7.4-5.7.4-20170912-0250-39/config/agent.manifest. Cause: The addition of 3 GB to the negotiated JVM Max heap size would adjust to 3 GB, which would exceed the total available physical memory of 839 MB. Error: Failed to deploy package VMware-Performance-64bit-Agent-Installer for: com.quest.nitro.service.sl.interfaces.agent.RemoteAgentManagementService$InstallationException:
Please make sure that Agent Manager (FglAM) server has sufficient memory available.
agent.manifest file in VMware Agent package has a default hard coded setting of 2.5GB for jvm heap memory and if the Agent Manager server on which the package is getting deployed does not have enough free memory available then the deployment will fail.
