After running an Activity by Document report the User Name column shows entries of N/A-N/A -
Cause
The date range may be outside of the SharePoint retention period -
Resolution
Open SharePoint Management Shell as administrator and run the following command to confirm the SharePoint retention period
Get-SPUsageDefinition -Identity "Page Requests"
Change the date range according to the retention period and run the report again
