When copying a SharePoint site or list, content fails to copy with the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" or "List does not exist - It may have been deleted by another user" error message. It is often encountered with the Paste All Child Lists action.
This behavior is usually caused by a broken lookup column defined as a site column on the target site collection. Part of the process that Content Matrix performs during a copy is fetching all site columns on source and target to determine which columns to add or match up. If a lookup column is broken (i.e. it does not point to a valid reference list), it will trigger an exception to be thrown and the action will fail.
