Cause
ReadOnly SharePoint Connections in Content Matrix are caused by expired or over-capacity license.
If the license is valid, then this is likely caused by file corruption.

Resolution
Close down your Content Matrix console.
Navigate to c:\programdata\metalgix folder.
Delete all files with a.lic extension.
Re-open your your Content Matrix console..
Re-activate your license key.
The SharePoint connections should no longer show a padlock next to them.
