Slow performance copying to SharePoint Online. -
Description
Migrating to SharePoint Online using Azure takes excessive time to copy. -
Cause
There is a possible known performance issue when using the Azure Shared Container option, requiring a configuration change.
Particularly, the operation in the log called "Monitoring Migration Status" takes excessively long than the rest of the copying processes.

Resolution
1. If you have a Private Azure Storage Account purchased and configured for Content Matrix:Select ONLY the Use Azure/SPO Container Office 365 Upload option (second last from the bottom in the Folder Content Options tab. Not the last option2. If you do not a have private Azure Storage account, do the following steps:- Close down your Content Matrix console- Open Note pad as Administrator and browse to the file c:\programdata\metalogix\environmentsettings.xml and open it.- Change the following setting from True to False:<XmlableEntry><Key>CleanAzureContainer</Key><Value>False</Value></XmlableEntry>- Re-open your Content Matrix console, and copy/paste your folder.- Select options in the Folder Content Options (Use Azure/SPO Container Office 365 Upload option AND Encrypt Azure/SPO Container Jobs).- Run your migration job.
