How to correct navigation links after migration
Description

After migrating content to SharePoint 2010 or 2013, navigation links point to default.aspx instead of home.aspx. Below is an example where the top navigation bar and quick launch links still redirect to default.aspx after migrating to SharePoint 2010.

Target
Cause

In the source site, the navigation links were hard-coded with "default.aspx" included.
Resolution
Transformation is currently not available for navigation objects. However, you may perform the steps below as a workaround:
1. Download the attached zip file
2. Run CorrectNavigationLinks.ps1.
3. Enter the full site URL to be corrected (e.g. http://vmn45-sp2010/sites/yug).
  
  The script will run through the root site and all sub-sites, and correct the Quick Launch and Top Navigation Bar links.
