The CMN Mail Connector is an SMTP relay that requires that both sides of the connection (Domino and Office 365) share a common encryption algorithm. Office 365 now requires TLS 1.2, however, versions of Domino earlier than 9.0.1 FP3 IF2 do not support TLS 1.2.
In order to enable TLS in such an environment, a new Domino SMTP mail gateway would need to be installed using 9.0.1 FP3 IF2 as the last SMTP email "hop" before sending mail to the CMN Mail Connector.
