Strange characters seen in Lotus Notes emails sent from 365
Description
We have a Domino and 365 email environment coexisting. Many time when a O365 users sends an email to a Lotus Notes user, strange characters are inserted into the mail. Quite often quotes are replace by square boxes. Is there a setting we can use on the mail connector to fix the encoding? I can replicate the issue by replying to a mail I have received from a notes user in outlook. My reply has the strange character when viewed in Lotus Notes.
Resolution
There is no setting in the Coexistence Manager for Notes [CMN] Mail Connector. The CMN Mail Connector doesn't do any encoding.
It only encapsulates Notes based non-SMTP compliant data into SMTP compliant form where possible.
