Powershell error when running a Directory Connector [version 3.7 onwards]
Description

See the following error in the logs:
Exception caught during step operation: An exception has occured while starting executing 'PowerShell script' Stack: at Quest.QuickConnect.Common.ExceptionUtils.Execute[NewExceptionT](Action action, Converter`2 exceptionConverter)
at Quest.QuickConnect.Server.Extensions.QcExtensionCommandPipe.BeginPipe()
at Quest.QuickConnect.Server.Extensions.QcExtensionCommandProcessor.GetPipe(ExtensionCommand[] extensionCommands)
at Quest.QuickConnect.Server.Calculators.ForwardAttributeGenerationRuleCalculator.CreateAttribute(ExtensionRule valueRule, String attrName, QcAttributeType attrType, QcAttributeOperation attrOperation, IOperation operation)
at Quest.QuickConnect.Server.Calculators.ForwardAttributeGenerationRuleCalculator.CalcRuleResult(AttributeGenerationRule rule, IOperation operation, SystemEntry overridedSourceObject)
at Quest.QuickConnect.Server.Calculators.ForwardAttributeRulesCalculator.CalcAttributeRules(IOperation operation)
Cause

This was caused by Powershell not being installed.
Despite the Pre-Requisite Checker showing now errors, only PowerShell 1.0 was installed.
Resolution
This was resolved by installing the following versions of PowerShell
- 2.0
- 3.0
- 4.0
Uninstall the existing version of CMN and then re-install it.
Run the directory connector and the connector will run successfully
Note: If this issue occurs after upgrading the CMN Directory Connector, then you may need to "Edit" each existing connector and complete the wizard in order for the old connector to be updated by the new version of CMN.
Additional Information

Note: Customer had this issue but for only one Connector. It turned out that there was a custom script that was incorrect causing the Powershell Error.
