Office 365 OWA is no longer able to locate rooms when creating appointments -
Description
Using Coexistence Manager for Notes (CMN) and the Directory Connector that has created the rooms as contacts in Office 365. Previously, using Outlook and OWA to access the mailbox and book the room functioned between Lotus Notes and Office 365. -
Cause
Microsoft has made changes to Office 365 that room objects can no longer be contacts and this stops OWA from interacting with the object. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
- When creating an appointment in Office 365 OWA you will have to add the room as a attendee, the same as adding a person or contact.
- Use the Outlook client on a workstation which will allow for finding rooms and resources using the room contact.
Note: The rooms will not display under Rooms or Resources when the room is a contact in Office 365 using OWA only.
