Co-existence Manager for Notes directory connector fails to create mail contact when Chinese character is present in Active Directory domain
Example: AddressBooks Container DN: CN=All Address Lists,CN=Address Lists Container,CN=您的域,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=您的域,DC=corp
Error: SyncRunner [4] - TgtConnectorWriter write "Username" error
System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesComException (0X8007202F): ?????????
Active Directory or Exchange has been installed in Chinese version and Global Address List (GAL) value ShowinAddressBook attribute consist a value Chinese character.
This causes the CMN Directory connector to fail when creating a new Contact in AD
Workaround 1
On the CMN Directory connector install respective language pack and modify the regional settings.
Workaround 2
Disable the Copying of GAL and Legacy DN value using CMN Directory connector.This will allow CMN Directory connector to Create a Contact in Exchange in inconsistent state. So to make the mail contact consistent, run the command below from Exchange PowerShell
Get-MailContact -OrganizationalUnit “OU” -ResultSize unlimited | Set-MailContact
Note: The command set the mail contact with require mail attributes and stamp email address based on Exchange email address policy, Make sure to rerun the Powershell command every a new contact is created by CMN directory connector.
