Microsoft
KB 811833 entitled, ""System cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing" security setting effects in Windows XP and in later versions of Windows" provides details about how to disable FIPS.
To turn off FIPS, you would need to navigate to the following registry key on the CMN Mail Connector server:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\fipsalgorithmpolicy
1.) Change the registry subkey from 1 to 0.
2.) Reboot the CMN Mail Connector server.
Note: If this setting is enforced by a Group Policy, then you may need to remove the CMN Mail Connector server from the policy.
