How To: Configure Directory Connector to provision mailNickname in Active Directory as "User" instead of "User.domain.com"
Description

Directory Connector creates contacts mailNickname as user.domain.com
Cause

By design a Directory Connector, out of the box or restoring it to the default state , will append the Notes domain where the contact is coming from.
Resolution
An additional configuration is needed to modify this behaviour:
1. Select the Connector, Right Click it and Select Advanced Settings
2. Go to Users Tab and Select Provision Attributes
3. Select mailNickname and click Edit.
4. Replace the Second Line with this : $values = $parts[0]
5. Click Ok
6. Repeat Steps 3,4,5 in the "Update Attributes" tab.
7. Click OK
8. Save and Activate Connector
