When installing Coexistence Manager for Groupwise's Directory Connector for the first time the administrator should receive a prompt for the "Mode of Operation", this allows the administrator to choose between Managing Contacts via the Groupwise System Address Book or Shared Address Books.
In some environments the Setup Wizard does not prompt for the Mode of Operation.
This issue can be caused by reinstalling the Directory Connector or installing on a system where the software was previously used.
When installing Directory Conector, it's possible to force the Mode of Operation prompt by removing the configuration.xml file if the configuration is no longer needed:
To force the Mode of Operation on an existing installation you can edit a parameter in the Configuration.XML file, as below:
If you have already installed Directory Connector, edit the C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\Quest Coexistence Manager for GroupWise\Directory Connector\configuration.xml and change the following key:
<GroupWiseTargetMode>AddressBook</GroupWiseTargetMode>
To
<GroupWiseTargetMode>PostOffice</GroupWiseTargetMode>
The AddressBook setting sets the System Address Book Mode of operation (Groupwise 7 or 8) and the PostOffice mode is for the Shared Address book option (Groupwise 8 only).
