Description
When opening ChangeBase the following errors may be seen:
Error: Could Not Read License Data
or
Could not find license key in ls.xml for db 1

Cause
File corruption. -
Resolution
Before performing any of the following steps ensure that there is a current database backup and the License key and site message are available.
If running Changebase 6.3.1 or newer:
- Close Changebase on the server and all clients.
- On the ChangeBase server stop the ChangeBase Service
- Locate the folder C:\ProgramData\ChangeBASE
- Rename LS.xml and repositories.xml to LS.old and repositories.old.
- Start the ChangeBase service and open ChangeBase. When prompted, enter the Changebase servername, DB connections details and license key and site message. Once complete ChangeBase should open successfully.
If running a version of ChangeBase older than 6.3.1 then an upgrade will need to be performed before following the steps above.
