MSIStudio cannot create MSI with uplifted applications -
Description
Attempting to use MSIStudio to uplift applications from windows 2003 Server using APP-V. When running the process as per documentation, a registry error appears on the screen. Everntviewer shows error: "Hanging App msistudio.exe 6.3.5807.21084. Hang Module HungApp Ver 0.0.0.0" Log says could not create stream reader. Process finishes creating MSI, but it's only 291k in size. -
Cause
The uplift feature is not functional currently. -
Resolution
Workaround: None
There is no workaround for this non-working procedure. Please refrain from using it.Status:
The ChangeBase team is in the process of removing the uplift feature in future versions and from documentation.
