Change Auditor Agent is already installed and cannot be re-installed -
Description
Imagine the following scenario:
A Domain Controller has been re-provisioned/re-promoted after an outage or a new OS installation has been performed.
The AD Computer object has been removed during the process.When you attempt deploying the Change Auditor Agent onto the new domain controller, you may experience an error during deployment.
The Change Auditor Client will display an error telling the agent is already installed. -
Cause
The problem has been identified as a software defect (Defect ID 16544) and it occurs when the AD Computer object has been removed prior to the re-deployment. -
Resolution
The issue is planned to be resolved with the upcoming Change Auditor 7.0 release. The currently planned timeline for the release is March 2018.
