ChangeAuditor 5.x and ChangeAuditor 6.x compatibility in a mixed environment -
Description
During the process of upgrading the ChangeAuditor environment from ChangeAuditor 5.x to ChangeAuditor 6.x, administrators may have a period of time where there is a mix of ChangeAuditor 5.x and ChangeAuditor 6.x components. There may be a question of the compatibility of those components. -
Resolution
While ChangeAuditor 5.x (5.6, 5.7, 5.8 or 5.9) agents are fully functional with a ChangeAuditor 6.x Coordinator, ChangeAuditor 6.x agents will not recognize and will not connect to a ChangeAuditor 5.x Coordinator. Therefore, when upgrading a ChangeAuditor environment from version 5.x (5.6, 5.7, 5.8 or 5.9) to version 6.x it is recommended to upgrade in to upgrade in the following order:- ChangeAuditor Coordinator
- ChangeAuditor Client
- ChangeAuditor agents (5.6, 5.7, 5.8 or 5.9) on an as needed basis
