How to sent an alert to just "Manged By" User of a group Change
Description
When a change is made to Group membership, an alert may be required to sent just to the User that manages that Group. Rather than typing in the email address of the user that manages the group, is there a way to specify the Managed By so that if the user that manages the group changes, there isn't a need to update the alert.
Resolution
Use the Alerts tab in the Search Properties:
Click on Alert Tab
Click on Configure Email Button, this will open the Alert Custom Email Window
Place cursor in the "To" Line
Then, at the botton of the windows check "Add Managed By"
Click OK
Check the smtp box and the Alert Enabled box and finally save
Now any changes made to the group that you are auditing will send an alert to the user that manages it
