Can Change Auditor be configured to have multiple Agents monitor a Microsoft SharePoint Farm at the same time? -
Description
Some administrators would like to have the option of having multiple Change Auditor Agents configured to audit a Microsoft SharePoint Farm to remove a possible single-point-of-failure. -
Cause
At the moment, a Change Auditor for SharePoint template can only have one Agent configured per SharePoint Farm. If the server hosting that Agent goes down, the Change Auditor template would need to be re-configured to use another Agent. -
Resolution
Workaround:
When necessary, edit the Change Auditor for SharePoint Template to point at a different Agent.
Resolution:
Enhancement Request TF00437038 has been logged to consider adding the ability to have multiple Agents assigned to one SharePoint Farm.
