Error when trying to create an Azure AD or O365 template: “The remote server returned an error: (504) Gateway Timeout” (4236061)

Trying to create an Azure AD or O365 template in Change Auditor 7.0.4.14039 may result in the error:

"The remote server returned an error: (504) Gateway Timeout"

"Azure app permissions wait 3 failure, System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (504) Gateway Timeout.

Microsoft made some changes to their risky sign-in endpoint which causes our O365 and Azure AD audit template creation process to fail in the 7.0.4.14039 on some tenants. The 7.0.4.14039 GA agents have an extra check in the code which is now failing due to the the changes that Microsoft has made.

WORKAROUND:

Use the latest 7.0.3 agent (7.0.3.11605). You will need to uninstall the 7.0.4 agent and manually install the 7.0.3 agent. Once complete you should be able to create the Azure or O365 templates successfully.

STATUS:

Issue resolved in the latest 7.0.4 Maintenance Release.
