Are SQL Alias supported by Change Auditor as connection to a SQL Server -
Description
Some customers might require to use SQL ALIAS as part of their setup for different reasons as shown in the present article -
Cause
While this is not something tested as part of our QA process, this should not present any direct issue unless using the Encrypt Connection to secure communication with the SQL Server -
Resolution
The reason being that SQL Alias will use a different name than for the Certificate and can cause a match failure
In case of troubles with SQL Alias, it is recommended to remove them as part of troubleshooting to check if the direct connection is not the main issue
