Description
Can an alert be created to allow Change Auditor to alert when the passwd_notreqd flag is set on a user account? -
Resolution
You can create a Search and enable an Alert on it to be notified when a user has their password requirement change:- Open the CA Client
- Select the Searches tab
- Select Quick Search
- In the bottom select the What tab
- Click the down arrow next to Add and select Event Class
- Under Event Class type user's requirement
- Select the 'User's requirement for a password has changed' event
- If you want to see any time the requirement for a password changes (regardless if it is changed to not required or required) click Add | Add this Event to add the event as it is
- If you want to see only when the requirement changes to Not Required, under restriction check 'Where the value changed to:', click the drop down and select Not Required, and click Add | Add this Event
- Click OK
- Select the Alert tab
- Check 'SMTP'
- Click Configure Email
- Configure who should receive the alert and click OK
- Check 'Alert Enabled'
- Click Save As and save the new Search
