Description
Scheduled reports sometimes do not successfully run and complete if the layout is modified. This can occur if changes are made to the design of the report by clicking the "Design Report" button but on the Report tab, once design changes are mode, the "Save" button is not clicked.
The "Save" button on the Report tab is grayed-out if only the design of the report is changed on the Report tab.
The following is recorded in the Change Auditor Coordinator log every five minutes after the report was scheduled to first run:

Cause
Creating a custom template for the report by clicking Design Report button and making changes to the template sets a custom GUID into ReportID field in the Query.ReportMail table. The GUID is not updated to the default GUID until the "Save" button is clicked on the Report tab. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Enabling\disabling the report (or making some other change) allows the "Save" button to be active and clickable. Once saved, the report is sent and contains the layout changes.
- On the Report tab, uncheck the "Report Enabled" checkbox
- Check the "Report Enabled" checkbox
- Click Save
