A user discovered that searching for events recorded in the last two months returned no data when a search is executed in Change Auditor. The user executed a query in SQL Management Studio for the same data (as the search created in Change Auditor) and the correct events were returned.
There are two approaches to a solution;
The data from the previous database may be migrated to the new database using out Data Migration utility, however this will immediately increase the volume of data in the current database possibly impacting the performance, particularly if any corrupt data existed in the previous database.We recommend using the previous database as an archive for searching and reporting (if possible since searching will be impacted by the corrupt index) by a database direct connection from the Change Auditor client. This method avoids importing possible corrupt data into the new database in addition to maintaining a manageable size (with purging and Archiving) in the new database.
