Run the following query in SQL Server Management Studio on the SQL Server against the Change Auditor database:
The values will be either 1 (on) or 0 (off).
If the two columns 'DiscardExplorerScanning' and DiscardExplorerInforTip' are missing then you will have to create a new database and merge the existing database with the new database.
First export the custom searches and alerts by following the steps in the Knowledge Article 118767

Next export the Change Auditor Coordinator Configuration to get the auditing templates, etc. using Knowledge Article 94386

Now uninstall the Change Auditor Coordinator, then re-install providing a new Database catalog name.
Once completed import the two exports done previously.
Now test enabling the two options:
A. "Discard file open events from local folder browsing"
B. "Discard Windows Explorer tooltip events from local browsing"
If there is a need or desire to merge the data from the old database to the new database then use the steps in Knowledge Article 112266 to merge the data.
