Issue
We have planned migration of Domino mailboxes to Users with Microsoft F3 licenses. As you know Microsoft Office F3 Users haven't MAPI protocol enabled, so we need to know if this is possible or not or what would be the solution to work around this license type?
Solution
Notes Migrator requires all the migration works have a MAPI enabled account (E type license). The end users must also be E type licensed while their mailbox is being migrated, so the solution would be to license each batch of users being migrated. Once migration is complete, the account may be changed to another license type.
Another solution is to migrate mailboxes to a .PST file. This must be tested to ensure it will work in your environment. The migration worker accounts must still be E type licensed, but the end users may be F type license. Set the migration destination to PST within the Migration Profile. The migration should work, but you might see an autodiscover error in the logs, but you will see the migration has continued and completed
Error: Autodiscover result has no EXCH protocol. Check mailbox configuration.
Warning: Failed to initialize Mailbox or Archive for Reading History:
Warning: Continuing migration without the History Source
