NM: BTMapiMessage Save Changes --MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED 80004005 error in log when migrating message (B304951)

Issue

The following error is received when migrating messages with large attachments to Office 365 (O365) or On Premise Exchange:

  19:51:16 Successfully removed partially migrated item

Cause

This is due to a limitation on the size of attachments in Exchange or O365 can receive which may be defined by corporate policy.  Please verify the 'MaxReceiveSize' setting using PowerShell or contact the Administrator.

Sample command to get setting:

$user = "username@corp1.cmtsandbox.com"

Connect-MsolService -Credential $cred

Get-TransportConfig | Format-List MaxReceiveSize,MaxSendSize,MaxRecipientEnvelopeLimit

Solution

Contact your Exchange administrator to modify the limits or 'Office 365 support', to modify online tenant limits.
